Coin- A technology

A US technology firm came up with a small device approx. the size of a coin which help detect lost things if and only if the device have been attached to the lost object. The device can be attached with anything from cars to wallet, from cellphones to small kids, i.e. it is compatible with anything in general. The device sends a low energy signal within a range of few 100ft. The firm also developed an app for the purpose.

The technology offers radar screen that simply approximates the distance- but not yet the location - of all the paired Stick-N-Find stickers in range.

The technology does not let us determine the direction of the lost items, so users have to start walking while watching the screen to see whether the device they are hunting for gets closer. The designers call the Virtual Leash, allows users to set an alarm to sound whenever a sticker moves a predetermined distance from your phone.

It also helps us locate any items that are out of range by setting an alarm to sound as soon as they appear on the radar, allowing us to begin with the track down of the lost item as soon as we are nearby.

The stickers themselves will keep going for up to a year on a watch-type battery. They include buzzers and flashing lights that can be activated remotely to help users track them down and one smartphone can be paired with as many as 20 devices.
